Mercy Vows

I receive you with reverence and promise you daily mercy. In the grace of this sacrament, I will honor our marriage with fidelity, patience, and prayer. I will seek forgiveness when I fail, offer forgiveness when you need it, and walk with you toward God in every season of our life together.

I bring my whole life before God and place it faithfully beside yours. I promise to receive our marriage with reverence, to pray with you when we are grateful, and to seek mercy when we are hurt. I will tell the truth with tenderness, return to forgiveness when pride divides us, and serve our home through the ordinary work of each day. In joy and in trial, I will honor the sacrament we enter by choosing fidelity, patience, and love.

Before the altar of God, I receive you with gratitude and promise to love you with faithful patience. I will seek the good of our marriage in prayer, tell the truth with charity, and return to you when pride would make distance easier. In joy, I will give thanks with you; in sorrow, I will stay beside you. I ask God to make our home a place of mercy, our promises a source of courage, and our ordinary days an offering of love.

By God's grace, I will make forgiveness the doorway back to us. I promise to speak truth without cruelty, to listen with a humble heart, and to pray before pride becomes distance. I will rejoice in your gifts, carry burdens beside you, and serve our home in ways both seen and unseen. When we lose our way, I will remember the mercy we have received and choose again the covenant we begin today.

With God's mercy before us, I promise to make rest a holy part of our love. I will not measure your worth by your work or ask you to carry every worry alone. I will pray with you when words are hard, celebrate the gifts God is growing in you, and help protect quiet places where we can listen again. May our marriage make room for Sabbath, forgiveness, laughter, and the steady peace of Christ.
