Forgiveness Vows

As God's chosen one, holy and dearly loved, I promise to clothe myself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. I vow to bear with you and forgive you, just as the Lord forgave us. And over all these virtues, I put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

By God's grace, I will make forgiveness the doorway back to us. I promise to speak truth without cruelty, to listen with a humble heart, and to pray before pride becomes distance. I will rejoice in your gifts, carry burdens beside you, and serve our home in ways both seen and unseen. When we lose our way, I will remember the mercy we have received and choose again the covenant we begin today.

With Christ in our keeping, I promise to love you with patience and joy. I will listen before I answer, forgive before resentment grows, and serve you in the small work that makes a life together. I will pray for your burdens, celebrate your gifts, and remind you of God's faithfulness when either of us forgets. By His grace, I will choose you not only in the bright moments, but in every ordinary day we are given.
