Before God, I promise to receive your life with faithful attention. I will listen for what you say and for what is difficult to say, honor the dignity God has given you, and bring both gratitude and concern into prayer. I will not let hurry make me careless with your heart. Through ordinary days and unexpected change, I will seek reconciliation, welcome wise counsel, and serve the good of our family. May the grace of this sacrament teach me to see you clearly and love you faithfully all our days.
